I just wanted to say how lovely this little place is we've been for breakfast and for lunch now and can highly recommend the food here, cooked to perfection with clearly high quality produce. We love how welcoming it is at The Courtside Cafe, the team are so friendly and clearly care very much about providing excellent service. The cafe is so nicely done, with a lot of thought clearly having been put into atmosphere and decor too. Again, it really reflects a happy and caring team. We keep saying to each other how it is so lovely to have a really GOOD cafe in our local area! Love the atmosphere, the setting, the food, everything! Keep going guys!

What a lovely hidden gem. Friendliest staff I've ever come across. Lovely option for outside or inside tables in a pretty setting. We had lunch which was all very good tasty, value for money, good sized portions. Was tempted by cuppa and cake but alas someone pipped me to the last piece of carrot cake. Oh well just means ill have to go back another day

Just stopped here en route North. Absolutely lovely place with friendly and hardworking staff. Sandwiches and drinks were perfect and such a pleasant location. Well worth the short detour from the motorway ( just 5 minutes). We will return!

Nestled in a charming spot that feels a world away, Courtside Café is more than just a place to grab breakfast; it’s a culinary experience with an irresistible twist. Helmed by a French-trained chef who elevates British staples with skill and flair, this is where you’ll find an English breakfast that’s head and shoulders above anything else for miles. Imagine: perfectly crispy bacon, eggs with a yolk that practically glows, succulent sausages, tomatoes that taste like they’ve basked in the sun, and – here’s the real showstopper – fried bread. Yes, fried bread, that elusive marvel of the past, cooked to golden, crispy perfection. It’s a bite of nostalgia with a dash of indulgence, and worth the trip alone. The prices are refreshingly fair, a rarity these days when anything ‘artisan’ can often mean a double-digit bill. Here, you’re getting top-notch quality and a level of finesse that feels like a gift, considering the price. This café’s value is truly hard to beat. Then there’s the atmosphere. Decorated in tasteful Farrow & Ball hues, the café has both inside and outdoor seating, each space as inviting as the next. Indoors, the muted tones add a calm elegance; outdoors, the setting makes you feel like you’re part of a hidden gem. And the vibe? It’s bustling yet relaxed, with the warm hum of locals who’ve also caught on to this rare find. Of course, no good breakfast spot could call itself complete without a solid coffee game, and Courtside Café doesn’t disappoint. Bean-to-cup, strong, and smooth, it’s a coffee made to be savoured rather than rushed. The cherry on top, though, is the service. The staff here know what they’re doing, delivering a genuine warmth and attentiveness that makes you feel like you’re visiting an old friend. They’re charming, efficient, and clearly proud to work in a place that takes both food and hospitality seriously. Courtside Café isn’t just breakfast; it’s a proper British institution – complete with fried bread and everything.

My partner and I had called for coffee previously and commented how lovely the food looked. Today we went for lunch. My partner had 3 Thick Slices of Home cooked Ham, Chips and 2 eggs which were perfectly cooked. I had chicken and bacon housin salad which was served warm. It was delicious with plenty of chicken & bacon. It's a family run business so friendly and accommodating. Thank you to Barry Angela & Grace who made us feel so welcome. See you soon.

Great cafe with a selection of outdoor and indoor seating. Prices reflect good quality, freshly cooked food. Recommended to book for indoor seating on busy days, but when we visited on Saturday morning there was a selection of outdoor seating available under the trees with a view of the tennis courts. Some customers were unhappy about the wait for service, but personally I'm happy to wait for freshly cooked food and the friendly service and lovely surroundings more than made up for a bit of a wait. We had breakfast cobs and pancakes (photo shows children's portion) which were all delicious. Coffee is quite a dark roast which might not be everyone's thing. We will be back another time to try the lunch menu.
